What is live baccarat?
Live baccarat is a card game streamed in real time from a studio. A human dealer handles the cards while you place bets through the platform’s interface. The goal is to predict which hand — Player or Banker — will have a total closest to nine.
Each round uses two or three cards per hand. Tens and face cards count as zero; aces count as one. All other cards keep their face value. If a hand exceeds nine, only the last digit counts. For example, a hand of 7 and 6 totals 13, which becomes 3.
Choosing a table in the lobby
Open the site’s lobby and look for the baccarat category. Tables are sorted by minimum bet, usually shown in ringgit. Pick a table where the minimum is within your budget — common limits range from RM5 to RM500. Higher limits often attract more experienced players.
Check the number of seats available and the dealer’s language. Many tables offer English or Bahasa commentary. Also note the speed: some tables deal a round every 30 seconds, while others are slower. Start with a standard-speed table to follow each round comfortably.
How to place your bets
After joining a table, you see three betting areas: Player, Banker, and Tie. Tap or click the chip value you want, then tap the betting area. Your bet appears on screen. Confirm the bet before the betting window closes — usually 10 to 15 seconds remain when the timer appears.
You can also bet on side options like Player Pair or Banker Pair, which pay if the first two cards form a pair. These bets are riskier but offer higher payouts. Always check the table’s payout rates in the rules panel. Banker bets typically pay 0.95:1 after a 5% commission.
Understanding the scoreboard
The scoreboard records past results using coloured circles: blue for Player, red for Banker, and green for Tie. This helps you spot patterns like streaks or chops (alternating wins). Many Malaysian players glance at the board before deciding their next bet. The board shows the last 20 to 50 rounds.
No pattern guarantees the next outcome. Baccarat is a game of independent rounds. Use the scoreboard only as a reference, not a prediction tool. The platform also shows roadmaps like Big Road and Big Eye Boy for deeper analysis, but beginners should focus on basic colour tracking first.
Depositing and withdrawing funds
To play for real money, deposit ringgit into your account. The platform accepts bank transfers, Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, and Boost. Minimum deposits usually start at RM10. Funds appear in your balance within minutes for e-wallets, or up to an hour for bank transfers. Always check the deposit page for current processing times.
Withdrawals follow similar methods. Request a withdrawal from the cashier section. E-wallet withdrawals are typically faster — often processed within 15 minutes. Bank transfers may take a few hours. The platform may ask for verification documents once before the first withdrawal. Keep your details consistent across methods.

Tips for playing live baccarat
Set a budget before you log in. Decide how much ringgit you are willing to spend for the session and stick to it. Do not chase losses by increasing bet sizes. The live dealer’s pace makes it easy to place extra bets — stay disciplined. Use the platform’s betting limits to control your spending.
If you use the Nova88 platform, note that it offers a demo mode for some tables. Practise with virtual chips to learn the flow without risking real money. Read the game rules in the info tab — some tables use no-commission rules where Banker pays even money but Player wins on a 6 pay half.
